April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her love for songwriting. at the age of 12, April came up with her first original song Different. At the age of 14, April spent a lot of time to making song lyrics and working on the music she was playing. Soon after she began taking excursions to write with her father in NY in New York and LA. The month also saw her include other related topics for some of her peers who are dealing with such things as bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart works in partnerships at popular Clean Beauty brand Ilia and also is an influencer in the lifestyle industry with a huge following of her own. The truth is that she was born with no left hand and that makes her unique. It's not the only characteristic of her. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't ignore her status as disabled and does not concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. It's a reminder. We all have multiple aspects of identities and that we're much more than our physical selves. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart via video "I don't think that is what defines my character. My goal is not to influence disability, because I've plenty to offer." This doesn't interfere with my everyday life. It's all normal, and I have learned to adjust. Because it's an integral part of me It's a topic worthy of talking about. Lockhart encourages us to keep striving to be self-accepting. She admits that she has gone through phases where she felt insecure about wearing certain clothing styles which displayed her arms. She now wears any outfit she wishes and shares pictures on her Facebook page with pride. She says that self-love is a process. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the final stage. It's a fact that I see for everyone, whatever their insecurity is. I believe that it's really vital to surround yourself people who can see and know your true heart.
